Enterprise Archive Solution [EAS] delivers a unified archive repository to compliantly and intelligently preserve data generated from enterprise messaging, collaboration, file-sharing, and social media applications. Data preserved from these various sources can be rapidly searched and discovered upon for the purposes of litigation support, end-user access, and to meet the demands of today’s global regulatory landscape. With the advanced archival policy engine, enterprises can implement automated policies to intelligently determine what data needs to be preserved according to metadata or content-based attributes, execute geo-dispersed archive requirements [store data wherever you want in order to meet data sovereignty requirements], and implement flexible/tiered storage in an on-premise, hosted, or hybrid environment. EAS supports a variety of deployment models including on-premise, PremCloud’s data center, a third-party data center, or a public cloud such as Azure or AWS. Furthermore, EAS can be delivered to enterprises as a managed service or pure SaaS model, so enterprises can leverage the professional management and upkeep of the platform for optimal performance.
Data Lifecycle Management
EAS provides end-to-end lifecycle management, giving enterprises granular and unified control over the preservation and disposition of their entire data fabric. EAS eliminates data silos that prevent consolidated information governance and regulatory adherence, effectuating archival policies across all data sources. Connector capabilities deliver life cycle management across all corporate data and communications including traditional repositories like email and file servers as well as cloud storage, collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, and a wide range of social media and messaging technologies. The formula-based policy engine built within EAS provides unrivaled post-archival data lifecycle management. Data can be written to logically separated and geographically dispersed data stores. The policy engine can be aligned to specific security groups as well as determine the storage device data is written to. EAS is often federated with organizations’ Active Directory, so user permissions are synchronized. EAS supports a number of storage targets including but not limited to Isilon, ECS, and Azure Blob. Advanced configurations can enforce software-defined regulatory compliance requirements such as WORM [“write once read many”] policies. Policies can be as simple as a single universal policy governing all data, or granular policies can be implemented and managed to support more robust data retention and disposition schedules. EAS supports the compliant journal capture of electronic communications and mailbox management for complete control and synchronization of data objects.
Storage Optimization
EAS delivers compression and single-instance storage [SIS] of all objects in the archive. For message content, the average compression ratio is approximately 60% of the original object size. EAS applies SIS to attachments across file shares, thus extending the storage optimization to file shares as well.
Rapid eDiscovery
EAS Discovery is powered by the Apache SolrCloud [“Solr”] which delivers powerful Enterprise Search and Discovery capabilities. With the intuitive built-in workflow, end-users from various departments are able to collaborate and execute on collective Discovery actions to cull down information and package for upstream review. With the EAS Discovery Advanced Search Builder, non-technical discovery users are easily able to construct complex search queries without having any specialized knowledge of eDiscovery syntax. Within minutes, stakeholders from compliance, legal, or risk can search your EAS archive to confidently respond to regulatory, legal, or internal investigations.
